Nearly two decades in communication have taught me that meaningful change starts with people, not platforms. Across public institutions and development-oriented organisations, I have worked in strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, public policy communication, media, digital platforms, storytelling and a lot more.
At the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC) for instance, communication meant building trust and connecting institutional priorities with diverse stakeholders. At the Ministry of Decentralization and Local Development, where I currently serve, I communicate around decentralization and local development, helping make complex public policy more accessible and meaningful.
I also engage and coordinate large, diverse audiences, including initiatives involving thousands of participants. My ongoing research on the effectiveness and challenges of ICT integration in birth registration in Yaoundé and Douala has further strengthened my interest in understanding social behaviour, generating evidence and using data to improve outcomes for children and families.
Looking at my career today, I see a strong connection with Social and Behaviour Change (SBC). Effective communication is not simply about informing people. It is about understanding what they believe, what influences their choices, who they trust, and what enables sustainable change.
What I increasingly bring together are: Strategic communication + stakeholder engagement + community engagement + behaviour-focused communication + development.
These capabilities matter wherever the goal is to turn policies, programmes and ideas into meaningful outcomes for people and communities-from protecting children and strengthening health systems to advancing social inclusion and sustainable development.
Communication is what I do.
People are who I do it for.
Change is the impact I want to help create.
